Students participate in a rigorous trimester Calendar that is enhanced by a six-week summer academy. High school students can enroll in college courses and receive both high school and college credit. Upon graduation, students receive a high school diploma and up to 60 college credits for their coursework.
Since graduating its first class in 2006, 100% of its students have gone on to four-year colleges. Capital Prep evolved from the Connecticut Collegiate Awareness and Preparation Program (ConnCAP) at Capital Community College. This is the first year the school has functioned independently of the College. Our enrollment capacity is 750 students.
