Khan Academy for Middle School Students:
As part of our commitment to student achievement, some of our students have been given an opportunity to "skip" their middle school math class. In order to do this, students must complete the practice problems on Khan Academy (www.khanacademy.com) so that they do not have any "gaps" in their skills.
Please review the letter sent home based on the class being "skipped":
Letter to parents about skipping 7th Grade Math going to Pre-Algebra
Letter to parents about skipping Pre-Algebra going to Algebra 1
Please see the following handouts to help get set-up:
Signing Up/Logging On:
“Creating an Account” teaches how to create an account and log on. This pdf includes screenshots throughout the entire process.
Becoming a Coach:
As a parent, you can watch and view what your students are working on by becoming their coach. The document “becoming a coach” will help you create your own log on name and allow you to view what your child is working on. This is the same level of access as a teacher.
